Congrats to Seamus Scanlon for Djerassi Residency

Kudos the Seamus Scanlon, awarded at a one month a noted California artists’s program. The Djerassi Resident Artists Program is internationally recognized as one of the eminent artist residency programs. We strive to provide the best possible residency experience for artists of superior talent from a diverse range of backgrounds and geographical locations.

As stewards of a unique and beautiful property, Djerassi also seeks to preserve the land and use our facilities wisely and efficiently for maximum benefit to the artists and with the least impact on the environment.

Seamus Scanlon is a writer from Galway, Ireland, home of the Claddagh Ring, the Quite Man, the Galway Races, Druid Theatre and so much more. He was a finalist for the 2009 New Irish Writing Award and his work has appeared in Global City Review, Promethean and the Journal of Experimental Fiction. He has read at The Cell Theater, the Mysterious Bookshop, McNally Robinson Bookshop, St. Patrick’s Day Literary Brunch, the Ulysses Bar and Over The Edge.
